SYNOPSIS
 Tiger Woods took the suspense out of the World Golf Championships-NEC Invitational when he tied Jose Maria Olazabal's course-record 61 in the second round at Firestone. He went on to finish with a tournament-record 21 under and win by 11 strokes. He finished with a flourish, too, staking an 8-iron to 2 feet at the 18th hole as darkness settled and fans lit the way with by flashing cigarette lighters in the gloom. Justin Leonard and Phillip Price were his "closest" competitors. "You've got to give it all you've got," Woods said. "Jack Nicklaus was probably the best at that. I always remember reading that quote from him where he used to say, 'I've never turned the switch on and off. I've always had it on.' "
