Take Five
Five things you should know about Sean O'Hair
He turned professional after his junior year of high school and went to q-school for six years before he earned his PGA TOUR card.
He won the 2005 John Deere Classic in his rookie season. That win earned him a spot in the next week's British Open, so O'Hair had to get a last-minute passport to make the trip overseas. The change in plans didn't affect his game, though, as O'Hair tied for 15th in his first major start.
Prior to his first win, O'Hair was struggling with his swing and went to Borders on Wednesday night of the John Deere Classic to pick up a few Jack Nicklaus books. He incorporated Nicklaus' teachings the next day and said he "hit the ball the best I've ever hit it".
One of his superstitions is that he never plays golf balls with the number 3 on them -- he only plays 2s and the occasional No. 1.
His father-in-law Steve Lucas used to caddie for him. O'Hair has also worked with former TOUR golfer -- and Vijay Singh's former caddie -- Paul Tesori as a caddie.
Impressive rookies
O'Hair won Rookie of the Year honors in 2005 thanks to a win, a runner-up finish and seven other top-25 finishes. He placed 18th on the money list that year and earned a spot on the all-time list of rookies who've won the most money in their first season on TOUR.

Trevor Immelman 2006 $3,844,189
Todd Hamilton 2004 $3,063,778

Sean O'Hair 2005 $2,461,482
